Craft Week

January 25, 2012

While talking to Julia about different craft / DIY projects I suddenly came up with this fantastic idea. I want to start a once a week craft project. A group of whoever is interested will decide on a few (budget friendly) projects to do and get together over some tea and be creative. I use to do this every Thursday with Melissa and miss it a lot. Even on days someone can’t make it (or someone from afar wants to participate) I’ll announce the project on my blog a week in advance with a list of supplies.
I find it really hard to get motivated by myself and crave someone to be with me while I’m creating to bounce ideas off of each other.

Here are a list of projects I’ve been dying to try:

– Paint chip art
– Scalloped (‘fish scale’) art
– Chalk board frame
– Tea cup candles
– Lace mason jars
– Found object brooch
– Nuts n’ bolts bracelet
– Modge Podge coasters
– Fabric swatch wall art
– Paper poppies
– DIY paper
– Glitter shoes
– Felt woodland creatures (owls, foxes, mushrooms etc.)
-Flower and Ruffled pillows
– Flower ring
– Visual Journal pages

Here are the links to my DIY boards to peek at these neat projects : Here and Here

All of these projects I’ve selected are completely budget friendly! If you’re interested please leave a comment below on some of the projects you’d be interested in tackling. Once I get a number I can write a list of supplies and a ‘due date’ where we all can share what we’ve made 🙂
