That ripe age

When I was younger I use to take a lot of gruff. If I experienced bad customer service, a bad meal, a bad overall experience I’d just grin and bare it. Somewhere along the line I decided enough is enough. Why should my hard earned money be wasted? Why should I let stuff that bothers me just simmer inside? I must have reached that maturing age where complaining is second nature. If it be writing an email to a company to complain that their product is shotty or leaving a store just because sales associates didn’t say hello.
I just fired off an email to the company I work for asking questions I’m not getting answers go. Will it get me in trouble? Maybe. Why should I settle?
Has anyone else experienced this need to complain when you receive less than par service?
